Exhibition Mastery at the Buckingham Food Fair: A Different Kind of Exhibition Experience

This past weekend, Exhibition Mastery stepped into a different kind of exhibition space—an artisan food fair! We joined forces with @craftedbyp and #TheJamLady for the Buckingham Food Fair, an event packed with delicious street food, talented artisanal producers, and a fantastic local atmosphere.

There’s something special about markets like these. Unlike large-scale expos or corporate trade shows, artisan fairs offer a raw, unfiltered exhibition experience - where storytelling, customer engagement, and sales skills are put to the ultimate test.

Food, Community, and a Love for Proper,

One of the highlights of the day was seeing The Jam Lady launch her brand-new Majestic Marrow & Ginger Jam—a unique and flavourful creation that received fantastic feedback. And of course, her signature Chuffing Chilli Jam was as popular as ever with the Buckingham crowd.

We were also lucky to be stationed next to some brilliant businesses:

  • @PurePatisserie—with their stunning patisserie delights. (Honestly, once you try the sweet treats from Pure - you are. - well, I will let you found out!)
  • @HomeFarmMK—whose Habanero Hot Honey is a must-try!

A Visit from Local MP Callum Anderson.

A surprise guest at the fair was @CallumAnderson_MP, our local Member of Parliament, who came to support the event. And naturally, I had to capture the moment with my trusty @papershoot.uk camera—another great addition to my growing collection of event selfies!

The Purest Form of Exhibitions?

As someone deeply involved in exhibitions and branding, this event reminded me of something important:

👉 Artisan fairs are, in many ways, one of the purest forms of exhibitions. They strip away the polished corporate facades and bring business back to its most essential form—real people, telling real stories, and making genuine connections.

At these markets, you have seconds to capture attention, engage your audience, and make an impression. It’s a great testing ground for honing sales skills, refining your pitch, and learning the true power of brand and product storytelling.

And beyond that, they’re just a whole lot of fun!

So, what was your weekend like? Have you ever participated in an artisan market, either as a visitor or an exhibitor? I’d love to hear about your experiences!
